SSL ORIGIN Analogue Console

Around 45 years ago I played in a band which recorded at Acorn Studio in Oxfordshire,

Acorn made their own consoles, we recorded on their second one the first being sold prior to our visit, they had a third console in a back room that they were building. Shortly afterwards the studio closed and the SSL factory opened and they went from a recording studio to a console manufacturer. SSL later went on to become the most successful recording console builder in the world. They sold up to 8 x 4000 series consoles per month at their peak I was told

Acorn and SSL were owned by Colin Saunders, a very pleasant and very successful man who used to visit the major studios asking the engineers what they would like to have on their consoles rather than telling them what they should have. Sadly Colin was killed in a helicopter accident but his influence goes on via the Colin Saunders Business Innovation Centre. 

SSL have made many different models over the years culminating in the Origin which is an Analogue console designed for modern recording studios using a DAW. 

We are listing the 32 channel in Line console for a customer in Ireland. It is in first class condition as it has only been use for 18 months. The console is privately owned and is not subject to VAT in Europe. If sold to a customer in other territories import duty may be liable, subject to the laws in the destination country
