KORG A1  PLUS KORG RE1 remote £440

The Korg RE1 is a specialized physical remote editor designed to provide detailed, analog-style editing for Korg devices like the M3R, 03R/W, A1, and Wavedrum. It offers a structured interface divided into sections for Combination Play, Combination Edit, Program Edit, Effects, Global, and Drum Kit functions, allowing for both broad sound changes and intricate fine-tuning. The RE1 connects to compatible Korg units using an 8-pin cable and features function keys that adapt their labels to the specific device it's connected to, providing a more intuitive editing experience compared to standard MIDI controllers.

Key Features and Capabilities
  • Analog-style editing:
The RE1 allows for quick and logical editing operations on parameters, similar to true analog controls.

  • Multi-device support:
It's compatible with several Korg units, including the M3R, 03R/W, A1, and Wavedrum, enabling broad sound changes and detailed fine adjustments.

  • Dedicated parameter sections:
The interface is divided into six clear sections (F1-F6) for different editing tasks.

  • Function-specific keys:
The F1-F6 keys are programmable and change their function depending on the connected device, making the editing process more tailored to the specific hardware.

  • Real-time control:
The device provides real-time parameter adjustment with an LCD display that shows the screens and controls for the selected device.

How it Works
  1. 1. Connection:
The RE1 connects to the compatible Korg module using a single 8-pin cable.

  2. 2. Editing:
The RE1's interface displays editing screens and controls, allowing users to navigate through parameters using the function keys.

  3. 3. Parameter Adjustment:
Musicians can make broad or detailed adjustments to various parameters, such as setting envelopes, tuning, and effects, by using the RE1's dedicated controls.

  4. 4. Saving Changes:
The RE1 also facilitates saving and loading control parameters to external devices.
