Highly respected 24 Track analogue recorder loved by the professionals. In the 1980s we sold many analogue multi-tracks, our main machine was the Saturn 824 manufactured in the UK by Saturn Research, it was a great machine with auto-alignment and was flat to 27kHz on both replay and sync heads which makes a difference if you are recording using Dolby.
In those days there were a number of good machines available on the market including Ampex, Lyrec, MCI, Otari, Saturn & Studer all good 2 speed machines, we also sold a lot of Soundcraft 760 16 & 24 track machines, one of our customers was a top drummer with a studio in Surrey, he wanted to buy the best sounding machine regardless of price, so he tried every available model, we sent him a Saturn and the other dealers sent him the other makes to try, the machine he chose was an MCI JH24 .
This particular machine has been serviced by analogue supremo Roy Harrison and the heads are being realigned by head specialist Terry Summers of Summertone Ltd
If you are seriously into analogue you should seriously consider this machine
