Calrec L Series 16 channel mixer, designed in the 1970's for the BBC by Calrec.
The Project : To rebuild this little discrete mixer which was purchased from Limehouse studios by Tony Arnold at the same time that he bought his large M Series studio console. We will never know what plans Tony had for it but it seems to have been untouched for a long time.
The 16 channels have routing to 4 outputs, 2 Aux sends, transformer balanced Mic & Line inputs, 3 band EQ with 6 switchable Hi Frequencies, 6 switchable Low frequencies and 11 switchable mid frequencies, switchable high & low pass filters. There is a remote panel for an 8 track recorder with Record ready, Sync & Safe switches plus transport remotes for a multi-track and 4 stereo machines. The meterbridge houses 2 Telephone modules, 1 Noise Gate and an oscillator. At the moment the meters are missing we are trying to locate them.
There is a lot of interest in this mixer so I think the fairest way to sell it is by auction to give everybody a chance, further news to follow.
